OUTREACH
Providing food and shelter is not proving love for your pet.
Those too, but proper care and protection from harm
make the truest sense of responsible pet ownership. - John D. Carraway, DVM |
NEINEA maintains two dedicated accounts to support efforts on behalf of the Norwegian Elkhound and dogs in general - BONE$ and Animal Welfare. Funds are raised through special raffles and individual donations. |
BONE$ - BETTERMENT OF NORWEGIAN ELKHOUNDS:
Established in 1997 to support foundations, universities, clinics, and research programs
dealing with health and educational issues impacting the breed. BONE$ will also undertake club-directed education and promotional programs. |
ANIMAL WELFARE:
Established as the Rescue Committee in 1994 to work with the Norwegian Elkhound Association of America
and John Nelsen Moosedog Rescue Fund to aid in the relocation and adoption of Norwegian Elkhounds in need of new homes.
In 2004, its mission was expanded to include support for other aspects affecting the welfare of elkhounds,
including training issues for current or potential owners, support for entities engaged in rescue or adoption,
and support for agencies responding to major national disasters. For further specific information, contact a member of the committee.
